What data we collect, why, who sees it, and how you control it.

What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle your data in the Dazzina app, the Dazzina Business app and this website. We write it in plain language and describe what really happens in the apps today.

The data we collect

  • Account data: the Syrian mobile number you sign in with, your first and last name, your username, your photo if you add one, and your language and settings.
  • Points and transactions: every earn, spend, transfer, gift and reserved point, with the partner or person and the date. They are kept in a balanced ledger that is never edited.
  • Orders, bookings and listings: what you order, the addresses you save, your appointments, and the listings you publish with their photos.
  • Messages and calls: the content of your in-app chats, and the call log (the two parties, time and duration). The app has no call audio recording.
  • Location: your position is read when you use a feature that needs it, such as an address, nearby partners or a ride. It is followed in the background only for couriers in work mode, and for drivers while they take rides or drive a started Khodni Ma’ak trip.
  • Verification documents: if you apply as a courier, driver or partner, we collect the documents needed, such as your ID, licence, car papers and a verification selfie, or the commercial register and professional licence for partners.
  • Device data: the notification token, device type and system, and app version. We use them to send notifications only to signed-in devices, for version compatibility, and for security and fraud prevention.
  • Emergencies: the trusted contacts you add, and when you press SOS, your location and the ride or trip details.
  • Reports and ratings: what you write in reports, reviews and ratings.

We do not store or log the login codes you receive by SMS.

Why we use your data

  • To provide the services you ask for: points, orders, bookings, classifieds, gifts, rides and delivery.
  • To protect your account and points: the PIN, SMS checks, and detecting fraud and abuse.
  • To let the parties of the same service talk in the app, without revealing phone numbers.
  • To review applications, documents, reports and disputes, and to help you when something goes wrong.
  • To send notifications about your orders and account. While working, non-urgent notifications stay inside the app.
  • For aggregated statistics that help us improve the services and measure promoted listings.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations.

Who sees your data

  • The other party of the same service, as far as needed: the shop sees your name and order, the courier sees the pickup and drop-off, the driver sees the meeting point and your rating. A phone number shows only with its owner’s consent.
  • Your photo shows according to your setting: everyone, people you dealt with, or nobody.
  • In classifieds, others see an approximate location unless you choose to show the address.
  • A partner sees only your transactions at its own shop.
  • Trusted contacts: they receive SOS messages and ride-sharing links. The sharing page shows no phone numbers and no ride code.
  • The service providers we rely on to run the app: hosting and databases, SMS sending, and the notification services of your phone’s operating system.
  • Map services: maps, addresses and routes are built on OpenStreetMap data and come from our own map server or from public map services. These services receive the map position that is looked up and your device’s internet address, not your name or phone number.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists and as far as the services need it. Points and accounting records stay for accounting and settlements. Ride and trip records are kept for a limited period, and verification selfies are deleted when their retention period ends.

How we protect it

  • Every points payment needs a fresh confirmation with your PIN or fingerprint.
  • The connection between the app and our servers is encrypted, and call signalling runs on private channels only the two parties can join.
  • Each user sees only the data that concerns them, and our team accesses data only as far as reviews and support need.
  • Notifications reach only devices that are still signed in.

Your choices

  • In Settings you decide who sees your photo, who can message you, who can send or request points, whether others can find you by your number, and whether read receipts show.
  • You can withdraw location or notification permission in your phone’s settings at any time. Some features do not work without it.
  • You can block or report anyone.
  • You can ask the support team for a copy of your data, a correction, or the deletion of your account. See the "Delete your account" page.
